How a program is built

Programs from the Loenhart Training System are coach-built and AI-assisted. The system drafts each one from your needs assessment and checks it automatically, and a coach reviews it before you ever see it.

The build

From assessment to delivery

The same steps, in the same order, for every program the Loenhart Training System drafts. The system does the drafting; a coach makes the decisions.

  1. 01

    Needs assessment

It starts with what you bring: your training history, the equipment you have, your schedule, any injuries or constraints, and what you want the training to do. The program is drafted from those answers, not from a template.

  2. 02

    Phased training

Training is organised into phases, and each phase has one job. The phase decides how much work a block asks for, how heavy that work is, and how it is arranged across the week.

  3. 03

    The training system drafts it

The Loenhart Training System turns your assessment into a first draft: the phase, the weekly split, and every exercise with its sets, reps, tempo and rest. It draws on programs written by coaches and works inside your equipment and constraints.

  4. 04

    Automated checks

As the draft is generated, automated checks confirm that every exercise fits the equipment you have and that the structure is complete: every session, every exercise, every prescription in place. A draft that fails a check is never offered for review.

  5. 05

    Coach review

A coach reads every program the system drafts before you see it. They check it against what you told us, change what needs changing, and sign it off. The system drafts; the coach decides.

  6. 06

    Delivered

You receive the finished program, laid out session by session: each exercise in order, with sets, reps, tempo, rest and coaching notes.

Phases

What each phase is for

A program sits in one phase at a time. The phase is chosen from your assessment and where you are in your training, and it shapes every session in the block.

  • General preparation. A broad base: movement quality, work capacity, and the habit of training regularly. The work is varied and the loads are manageable.
  • Accumulation. More total work at moderate loads. Volume is the priority, so there is more to build on in the next phase.
  • Intensification. Loads go up and volume comes down. The work gets heavier and more focused on fewer movements.
  • Transition. A planned lighter block between demanding ones. Training continues at a lower demand before the next phase begins.

  1. Paired: alternate A1 and A2

    • A1

Squat - Back - Olympic - Medium Stance

      Sets
      4
      Reps
      6-8
      Tempo
      3-1-1-0
      Rest
      120

Brace before the descent. Depth must not cost you a neutral spine.

    • A2

Leg Curl - Lying - Feet Neutral - Dorsiflexed

      Sets
      4
      Reps
      10-12

      Rest
      60
    • B1

Split Squat - Rear Foot Elevated - Dumbbell

      Sets
      3
      Reps
      8-10
      Tempo
      2-0-1-0
      Rest
      90

Front foot carries the load; the rear foot is balance only.

      Sets
      3
      Reps
      40 m
      Rest

Tempo is four numbers, in seconds: lowering, pause at the bottom, lifting, pause at the top. X means lift as fast as you can with control. Rest is in seconds.

The rest of this sample week: Torso, Full body.
